Turkey vultures: tough + efficient scavengers, finding meals quickly due to their intensely sharp sense of smell and processing massive amounts of carrion. And because their stomachs are highly acidic, they can eat diseased meat without getting sick.
This woodcut was printed with nontoxic vegetable oil-based inks in a reduction technique for my 2026 calendar. Printed on Rives BFK. Block measures 7 × 10”. Limited, varied edition of 6.
