Would you like to support The Nature Conservancy in New Hampshire’s many conservation efforts in a bigger way? Feel free to add an additional donation below!
A whole host of plants, animals and fungi spend their lives cycling our waste and keeping our world balanced. They take care of both natural messes, (dead organic material!) and unnatural messes (plastic waste, toxic chemical spills, etc)! This calendar puts them on the pedestal they deserve.
Each month, learn about scavengers (blue crabs, snapping turtles, crows and more), plastic-eating fungi (turkey tail and oyster mushrooms), and plants like sunflowers and willows, which can take up toxins from the soil and store them for easy disposal.
Pages feature a unique reduction woodcut, a blurb explaining how that particular species handles waste, and squares for each day to write out your plans.
For each calendar purchased I will send a donation to The Nature Conservancy in New Hampshire, which does lots of great conservation work in our region but specifically was chosen because of their incredible multi-pronged oyster restoration efforts. If you’d like to give an additional donation, you can add that below.
Calendar is wirebound (new this year: with a tab for hanging on a hook!) and is the largest I’ve ever made, measuring 12 × 16”.
PS- Check out the companion notecard set, featuring 5 of my favorite designs from the calendar!
