queen anne's lace

$140.00
sold out

This, to me, is late summer in coastal New England. Queen Anne’s Lace, tansy, goldenrod and rose hips, all jumbled together in a tangled mess. The colors work together splendidly, but they also serve an ecological purpose: shoreline plants buffer land from extreme tides and storms, and all those deep perennial roots prevent land from eroding away into the ocean. So down with manicured lawns, which often introduce herbicides and pesticides to our precious waterways— and up with diverse, wild plant buffers along the coast!

This woodcut was printed with nontoxic vegetable oil-based inks from four blocks. Printed on mulberry paper. Measures 7.5x10.25" Limited run of 35.

Due to the nature of the block printing process, colors and printing will vary slightly in each print.
